Avila and Associates was the task leader for this effort to develop a pilot best management practices (BMPs) technical report to reduce sediment discharge into, and improve or maintain riparian habitats along, Alameda Creek. We worked closely with SFPUC Natural Resources Division staff, who were assigned to be trained in standard protocols to map existing vegetation, assess watershed activity impacts on sensitive habitat and species in the area, and develop potential measures to mitigate these impacts.
